The Big Pause - Day 57 - May 7 - Scenic Lunchtime Bike Ride
The weather has turned very nice this week. Over 20 degrees and sunny. I'm continuing my daily routine of going for a bike ride at lunch. I usually head out in the direction of the Kilden's to see if I can say hello to them in the backyard. So far only been able to catch them once. I then head back on 156th until I get to the hydro right of way. It's all downhill until you reach the Serpentine river. Even in PG I didn't have access to such a nice creek near my house. When you get down to the creek bed you can't even tell you are still in the city. The water is quite clear for being in the city and it's a very tranquil location. I've decided I really need to work on getting Carter riding his bike. I really think he'd enjoy coming down here. Once I get down to 168th there is a steep climb up 88th back home. It's about a 10k bike ride and takes about 30 minutes. A pleasant break to being stuck in the guest room working all day. I will say though that the one good thing about working from home is being able to work with the window open.
